Description
– From the back of the book –
*”Rebel Moon is a “cabaret on paper” of dangerous poems & forbidden words. It’s also an archist critique of injustice and a call to action – direct action. Within is a vision of a world without bosses, lousy lovers or supermarket ripoffs, where our wildest dreams of freedom are offered back to us as legitimate possibilities. Witty, informative & hardhitting, Rebel Moon helps catapult a culture of resistance into the 21st century. “*
Norman Nawrocki considers himself internationally acclaimed, it says he is on the back of the book… we’re not too sure. But someone at AK obviously liked the stuff, so who are Active to judge!
As front man/big-mouth for Montreal’s acclaimed anarcho “rebel news orchestra,” RHYTHM ACTIVISM, Nawrocki’s powerful spoken word pieces are known worldwide through the band’s 30 releases and thousands of live shows across Canada, the USA, and Europe. Much of his material has been used to help organize and empower audiences around specific issues of social justice. REBEL MOON samples the best of this work from 1986–1996, including pieces like the anti-landlord “Squat The City,” the dreamlike “7-11 Heaven,” and the pro-choice “Soldiers For Jesus.”
“Your Black Flag poem blew me away.” —Lawrence Ferlinghetti
